Little Beaver State Park is an outdoor recreation area that caters to families and friends.

Little Beaver Lake

An 18-acre lake, created by a cut rock dam nearly 50 years ago and offers fishing and seasonal boat rentals.

Paddle boats

Paddle boat rentals are offered.


An enclosed playground is centrally located near picnic areas and five picnic shelters.

Hiking and Walking

Take an easy stroll around the lake or hike and bike the miles of rugged trails throughout the hills. Little Beaver offers 18 trails for hiking. Trail descriptions are listed on the Hiking page.


The newest campground in the West Virginia State Park system, Little Beaver Campground features 46-sites.  Near I-64 this campground is tucked away in nature, but in close proximity to a major highway in the Mountain State. Learn more at our Camping tab on this page.
